Nature is in decline, but together we can change its future.

The Wiltshire & Swindon Local Nature Partnership (WSLNP) brings together leaders from the environmental, conservation, public and utilities sectors to drive bold, lasting action for nature recovery.  Working together, we’re restoring and reconnecting landscapes to create greener, healthier and more resilient communities across the county.

A major step forward came in October 2025, when Wiltshire Council published the Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS), providing a practical, evidence-based tool to guide where and how action can have the greatest impact. It identifies priority habitats, highlights opportunities for restoration and enhancement, and helps align efforts across sectors, ensuring that investment, planning and land management decisions are working towards a shared vision.

As a guiding tool, the LNRS enables partners to make informed choices, target resources effectively and act with confidence. It supports communities, farmers, businesses, and decision-makers to take coordinated action, connecting projects, strengthening landscapes, and delivering lasting benefits for both people and wildlife.

If you can contribute, whether through expertise, land management, funding or collaboration, this is the moment to get involved.

Together, we can restore what has been lost, protect what remains, and build a legacy of thriving natural environments for generations to come.
